Gayle Pittman brings a unique blend of compassion, experience, and boundless energy to her role as Front Desk Receptionist at Waterside Veterinary. For over two decades, she dedicated herself to human healthcare, working in a variety of support roles across two major hospital systems. In every position, Gayle’s trademark kindness and attentive care left a lasting impression on patients and colleagues alike.

Yet amid her busy healthcare career, Gayle’s lifelong passion for animals was always close to her heart. Making the leap into veterinary medicine felt like a natural next chapter—and one where her skills and her love for animals perfectly align. Today, she’s often the first welcoming face clients see when they walk through the doors at Waterside Veterinary. Her warm smile, genuine empathy, and calming presence help both pets and their owners feel at ease, even on stressful days.

Outside of work, Gayle is a devoted grandma to two miniature Yorkies, Mickey and Minnie, who are undeniably the royalty of her household—and thoroughly spoiled as such! She loves spending time with family, exploring the outdoors, and traveling to discover new places and experiences.

Whether she’s comforting a nervous pet parent, doting on her Yorkies, or planning her next adventure, Gayle’s life radiates compassion and joy. At Waterside Veterinary, she continues to make a meaningful difference every day, bridging her healthcare background with her passion for animals—and always doing it with a smile.

Iraceni DeJesus, affectionately known as Izzy, serves as the Client Liaison, where her warmth and dedication make her an invaluable member of the team. Originally from Mexico, Izzy has called Myrtle Beach, South Carolina her home for the past 29 years, embracing the coastal city as her own. Her deep-rooted connection to the community and her passion for helping others shine through in her daily

interactions with clients

and colleagues alike. Outside of her professional role, Izzy is a devoted mother to two boys, whose energy and spirit inspire her every day. With her bilingual background and

compassionate approach, Izzy bridges cultures and fosters a welcoming environment for

everyone who walks through the clinic’s doors.

 Bridget's journey is one of continuous growth and unwavering dedication, rooted in her native Winston-Salem, NC, and now thriving in Myrtle Beach, SC, where she's lived for five years. For 20 impactful years, Bridget was a steadfast veterinary technician, specializing in the intense and vital areas of critical care and emergency medicine. Her passion for healing and expertise in high-pressure environments led her to a new chapter, becoming an ICU Registered Nurse at a local hospital a little over a year ago. Always seeking to expand her knowledge and influence, Bridget is presently working towards her Master's Degree in Nursing Education and Leadership. Through it all, her greatest joy remains her family: she's been happily married to her wonderful husband for 19 years, and together they are raising four beautiful children. 

 Kaleb is an undergrad at the University of Coastal Carolina with a marine science degree. Originally from Rodanthe North Carolina, he grew up around fish and animals. With a specialization in aquatic animals, his passion doesn't stop there. Being around animals of all species is where he thrives and gained experience through a variety of internships and labs. Kaleb enjoys a variety of hobbies such as fishing to playing multiple instruments such as drums and guitar. Kaleb owns an Australian/Retriever mix named Max and thinks of him as his son. Kaleb's goal is to make sure our clients leave happy and confident that their best friends are taken care of with compassion and utmost care 

Kaitlin has a strong background in law enforcement and animal handling. She is an Ohio native but moved to South Carolina in 2014. She has gained experience from local veterinarians over the years. Kaitlin was raised around Police K9s and started handling dogs at a very young age. She completed the Police Academy in Ohio before attending the National K9 School for Dog Trainers. Kaitlin is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and owns her own business locally. Kaitlin is excited to pursue her current career with Waterside Veterinary Services and looks forward to helping you and your amazing pets, should the need arise! Kaitlin owns a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, horses, chickens, an emu, and a pig. 

Jamie is a U.S. Army veteran and experienced animal care professional who brings a strong background in emergency response, security, and K9 handling to Waterside Veterinary Services. With years of hands-on experience assisting veterinary teams and a deep passion for animal welfare, Jamie supports both front and back operations at the clinic. His calm, dependable nature and commitment to patient care make him a trusted part of the Waterside team.
